Point Break: Book Four: The Prologue

Okay, I haven't really thought the Point Break series through. There are huge gaps in the storyline, particularly in book three and the ending parts, so I'm just going to go ahead and explain book four. But before that, a brief summary of book three: Cecil returns from Anchorage with the persuasion of Kyle and his two-year old (15 in people years) son, Scott. Things at home have changed: Under Red's regime, the humans are separated from the rest of the Community, forced into seclusion (It's sort of like racism, where there is the impression that one social class is better than the other.) The black market, where everyone goes to, to barter for necessities is shut down. A curfew is in active, preventing anyone from carrying out "unproductive" activities. In a nutshell, things are like a prison camp. Cecil returns as "Carl Raynor", an Irish mechanical engineer as he is still wanted dead or alive by Red. Oh, I can't believe I forgot to add this; Red is sort of like the antagonist within the Community. He becomes Marcus' successor at the end of Book 2 after Marcus is changed by iDen into a full wolf. (Grade 4) Oh, and here is what their eyes look like :P (Grade 4 Infected)

Hence, the name 'RED'. This is the last thing someone experiences before every cell in their body feels as if its on fire and then they change.

Anyway. After that there is a huge gap in the storyline. Book 3 ends with Marcus Hutch being cured and reinstated as the Community leader and Red is forced into hiding after this. This is also where the Community members discover "The Colony", another band of survivors living in the decimated south of the city. Talks are to be initiated with them in order to save everything. (The iDen New York branch discovered that it is in fact possible to further infect the Grade 2 and 3 infected, turning them into vicious, violent and blood-thirsty Grade 4s. iDen's aim for this is to get control of everyone via the finding of the "Master Controller", referenced in one of Dr. William Carlton's stolen audio diaries; a mysterious thingy that they've yet to find.) Anyway, the book ends with Colony leader, Jacob Turner hunched over an audio diary, being alerted that there is a "visitor".

Book Four is the prologue to everything, explained in a first-person narrative by Lieutenant Jacob Turner. Invited by the iDen Corporation to participate in "Project Knight", Jake, along with twelve others throughout the country are to commit to testing to create the perfect soldier. Jake is promised a promotion to General in iDen's new defense division. the participants start going missing, however. The remaining seven are suspicious and they band together in order to survive.

Antagonists are : Triten Cobb, New Jersey native and participant in the Kinght project. Backstabber. ;Professor Noah Benton, founder and also the head of iDen San Francisco.

Notable characters are:

Corporal Mackenzie Reyes: The only female participant in the program and the one of the seven remaining participants.

Dr. Nadia Simone PhD: iDen's psychologist and also Jake's close ally. One of the Nine: The team of renowned scientists from all over the world that discovered RED.

Dr. Brock Costanzo : Chief surgeon. Made the mistake of administering 'Draco' to Jake. He dies in the book. Got thrown into a medicine cabinet so hard that they literally had to scrape bits of him off the floor and walls. Also part of the Nine.

Again, I also haven't thought this book through and so here's the summary: Jake is turned into a dragon with the research obtained from the previous and now deceased test subjects. Natural armor plating all over makes him bulletproof and impervious to extreme temperatures. He's also cold blooded, a rarity even in the Point Break world as it is nearly impossible and often fatal to change blood types. He is betrayed by Nadia and Triten who have played him throughout the story. Nadia tries to repent, however, and gives her life in an attempt to set him free. The date is June the 20th, 2010; one and a half weeks after the virus outbreak. Jake saves a group of infected free as they are being hauled by iDen Guards and Marines onto buses bound for the incinerator. It is only revealed in later books that Marcus Hutch was one of the Marines on duty. He, along with the survivors decide to band together in order to survive. Two years pass. Jake is sitting alone in a room, relating the events that have taken place to an audio diary when he is summoned by his right-hand man, Eric Schindler. A "visitor" has been spotted heading in their direction.

I've got a picture of Jake in human form and also as a dragon but I've misplaced them. :/ Schindler, however, I do have:

"Face like a broken wine bottle and knife blades for fingers... Freaky just isn't enough of a word."

Oh, and I forgot I have a picture that looks like Triten exactly!:

"Well, wouldja' look at me... Unconventional, yes. But oh, I think this will work just nicely." - Triten Cobb
