Futuristic monuments from a "glorious" past
These monuments were commissioned by former leader Josip Broz Tito of the former Yugoslavia in the 1960 and 1970 to commemorate battles of the Second World War or where concentration camps were located. Were made by different sculptors and architects with the clear intention of causing a visual impact - and I think they did it very well - and to highlight the symbolism of the socialist republic
